Non-smoker too. You bet I wonder. I noticed it when I was 13 or so. When I was eight, an older neighborhood bad girl ran up to me kissed and hugged me while she was smoking a cigarette. I think it was the first sexual experience I had. I do believe the theory of misguided oral stage developement to some degree. I think social taboos have a role too. My parents smoked and I hated living with it! But at the same time, as a teenager, seeing the preppy girls sneak a smoke after school drove me fucking insane. I have been very fortunate to have open minded girlfriends. Most of whom enjoyed smoking a cigarette during sex, and occasionally outside of the bedroom. One girlfriend said it was a kinky-fun way to express her sexuallity. I have to admit it has been embarrasing when others find out about it - say after a messy breakup.
In my case, feminity is key...youthful, nice nails, clean ,flirty, slow, casual style, confident, relaxed, longer brands, during coincidental and partially clothed sex i.e. short skirt. (see smoking-erotica.com - that lucky bastard is living the life I was suppose to have!)

I often wonder if cigarettes never existed, if I would have some other fetish.
ce la vie.

Very interesting. Apparently there are a lot of you all out there that are like me... I don't smoke, never have, and my wife doesn't smoke either... nor does she know about my fetish. I can't stand being around smokers, and neither can she, so this weird... fetish... that I have really confuses me. It's interesting to see that there are a lot of others out there like me.

It's obviously psychological, but I'll be damned if I know the trigger for it.

I think you guys are really analyzing this too much. The same goes for why you like red heads,. Is that the red head stage of your life? I am not trying to make a joke, I am trying to make this simple. Some guys like leather and others like lace. To me, a woman smoking looks dirty and not in a bad way. I too think it is extremely sexy and I am a non smoker. You could ask the same question...why is it called a fetish. A fetish by definition is something that you need in order to get off. I don't need it to get off, but I think it is hot when my wife is sucking my cock and smoking. I still get the same outcome, pardon the pun, if she isn't smoking.

I, at times, feel ashamed of having this attraction. When I see a hot lady smoking, I look. When aI see a fat ugly bitch smoking I look and think that is one gross bitch.

I don't think it should be labeled as a fetish.

I am from a very uptight WASP background and women who smoked were considered "Tramps". Now, my uncle, to whom I was close, returned from medical school with his young wife, you guessed it, a smoker. Not only that, she was not from our social strata, much younger than he, with big tits that were emphasized by her tight sweaters (1950's). I was awestruck by her and hence my smoking fetish was born. I would have been naturally attracted to her overt slutty sexuality without the smoking but that was linked with it so one went with the other. Thats my assesment anyway but what the hell do I know? I was a physics major! LOL.

I am a lesbian who has the smoking fetish. I also smoke, myself and have since I was 15 (I'm 34 now). Over the years I was fortunate enough to have dated women who smoke, and most of them, at one point or another, knew about the fetish and were quite happy to oblige.

Then I met a non-smoker who I fell in love with. She was pretty anti-smoking and for a short time, I did attempt to quit. But the problem is - I don't know if its the same for men or not but, the smoking thing is deeply tied into my arousal. So, when we would have sex, I had a hard time focusing, because instinctively I wanted to smoke or see her smoke. No dice there, though.

Then I went through a particularly rough period and I started smoking on occasion. Every time I would have cigarette, my hormones would go absolutely crazy. I finally confessed that I had been smoking on rare occasions, but really didn't want to feel like I had to hide it. She understood and accepted this, amazingly - and I began smoking regularly, once again. It was around this time that I told her about the fetish, which she had not heard of before. I never pressed the issue, never asked her to do it or anything of the sort, but eventually she became curious about it while she was getting me off one evening, asked me if I wanted to smoke - which, you'd think I'd jump at the chance - but honestly, I was kind of nervous, because I knew she didn't like it. I ended up getting over that for the most part, and had a cigarette, which was wonderful, even while still a bit apprehensive.

This became a regular thing, over the next month and pretty soon she said she would like to try smoking for me, but not inhaling. I have an issue with fake smokers, but in this case, I was all kinds of "Hell, yes!". First she started with clove,s because she was really worried about becoming addicted to regular cigarettes. I told her that without inhaling, and only doing it once in a blue moon, she wasn't going to become addicted. A few weeks later, she moved on to my cigarettes (at the time I was smoking Marlboro Menthol Light 100s, but only because when I moved to this city, every time I bought my beloved Benson & Hedges Menthol Light 100s, they were stale) and began smoking them during sex or during foreplay. This worked well enough, mind you, but I had kind of wished she would inhale. I know that's terrible of me - I didnt want to try and push her into addiction, so I didn't press the issue.

And in the end, I didn't have to. She decided to try it on her own one day. Every couple of drags she would practise inhaling, but most of it was just gathering the smoke in her mouth and then letting it billow out. Then one night I had her smoke while I was getting her off, and told her to inhale deeply just as she was about to ogasm - which she did, and she loved it!

Smoking is a very important part of our sex life now. She only smokes during sex-time, and not every time. Enough though! And she doesnt mind me smoking either, and its pretty much a given that I'm going to smoke a lot during sex. But she is absolutely great about it now and will even surprise me with a carton on occasion. This past Christmas, she bought me a gold ligter cover and a gold cigarette case, which I carry with me at all times now. It's been a rather impressive turn of events from the girl who once hated smoking, to the girl who now occasionally smokes herself and understands and supports my need for it.

So, the impossible is actually sometimes possible, for those out there who are afraid to talk to their significant others about smoking. Especially if you have a good relationship to begin with. My feeling is that if you really do love the person you are with, and they love you back, you should be able to tell them anything - and a many times, it can work to the benefit of both parties.

For example, I used to hate the idea of giving a dildo a blowjob, but my gf wanted me to try it while she was wearing a harness one day. I gave it a try, she got crazy excited... and now I absolutely love doing it! Sometimes all it takes s to see the joy and ecstasy in your partner's eyes to change a person's perspective.
